I know a lot of people dismiss multiple type bets as bad value and just for suckers. I though the same for a long while but my eyes have been opened to the potential of these bets over the last few years by the expert writers that we employ at the Betting School.
Of course for the football pro's it wasn't so long ago that they had to bet in multiples in the bad old days before Betting Exchanges.
Both Tony Gibson and Michael Wilding have proposed a closer look at multiple bets in recenty articles and it is plain to see that there is value to be had. When you combine together value bets you multiply that value.
Recently Michael shared the calculation for working out value odds for Exacta bets. With the Exacta you have to find the first two home in the correct order. It's a bet that I've not tried to win with since my days at the greyhound track where the track tote was my only involvement.
Of course by design these bets are going to be at higher odds and so losing spells will be longer before the win comes in, but to offset this more than one bet can be made in each race as long as the value remains.
The steps to success are...
1.Create your own odds line or use one from a trusted source
2.Calculate the value odds according to your odds for the Exacta
3.Combine with more alternatives if there will still be value.
There is plenty of free information for all three steps available online. So my message today is investigate different types of bets that you may have discounted previously.
